Lenentine, Clara Helena

Oct 16, 1930 - July 15, 2021

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Clara Helena Lenentine, our loving mother and friend to all whose lives she touched. She left us sleeping peacefully at Pine Grove Nursing Home on July 15th, 2021.  Clara was born in 1930 in Maugerville NB, to her loving parents, the late Albert and Connie Shields and later became the wife and best friend of the late Lorne Lenentine.

Clara lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker, and worker in the retail sector. She loved to cook and host family gatherings, she enjoyed working in her rose garden, she kept an immaculate house, and she truly enjoyed a good cup of tea while watching her favorite old cinema movies.

Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her daughter Marilyn Poirier; granddaughter Lisa Poirier (Josh) and great grandson Ryan Hanson, the strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of her sister, Laverne (Dick) Doak and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

While we are sad to see her go, we are grateful for her time her with us, She will be reunited with her parents, her late husband and her sisters, Theresa Thomas (Wendell), Phyllis Shields, Mary Brewster and Josie McCann (Greg).

A celebration to honor Clara’s life will be held at Bishops Funeral Home on Monday July 19th at 2pm, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton NB. Those attending should keep in mind that current covid restrictions and protocols will be followed. Please bring and wear a mask.  A burial will take place at the Kingsley Cemetery following the celebration of life.

Memorial donations in Clara’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made at www.bishopsfuneralhome.com

The celebration of life will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person. The live stream can be viewed on the day of the service by going to Bishop's Funeral Homes website and opening Clara's obituary and selecting the link that will say "Watch Live Stream".
