At York Care Centre
in Fredericton on July 12, 2021, Ella Ailean (Erb) Flewelling
peacefully passed away at the Age of 97 years. Her twin cousins, Joan
(Erb) Howe and Janet (Erb) Bond were honored to have been able to
spend her last ten days by her
side.
She was the
daughter of the late Percy and Mae (Piers) Erb. She was born in
Springfield, NB on September 21, 1923, and married the love of her
life, the late Gordon Kenneth Flewelling on September 8, 1945. They
lived in Saint John for thirty
years.
She worked for
several years at Simpson Sears credit office and Canada Permanent
Trust Company. They moved to Fredericton in 1975. She was a lifelong
member of Baptist Faith. Was very close to her cousins, George Piers
and families, Rev. George and Joan Howe, Dwight, and Janet Bond.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by George Piers, Peter Piers,
and Rev. George Howe.
Resting at
Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton, where
visitation will take place on Saturday July 17th from 1-2PM with Covid
-19 guidelines in place, followed by a funeral service at 2PM with
Pastor Normand MacDonald of York Care Centre officiating. Interment to
follow in Erb’s Cove Cemetery. The service will be live
streamed on Bishop’s Funeral Homes website www.bishopsfuneralhome.com.
