On Sunday, July 11th, 2021, Kathleen (Kay) Bowen, loving Mother with a sharp wit, passed away suddenly at age 88.
Kay raised 7 saucy children (her words), making the best of the life she was given for her and her children. Often a glass of wine and a sparse fridge would turn into a hearty meal for the family. Kay was a truly amazing cook and loved to walk, a woman who was a striking presence, making a lasting impact on everyone she met. A woman of strength and perseverance, her life was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She always said, "When I die, I’m coming back to haunt every one of you, I’ll be around every corner." Well Mom, we look forward to it.
Kathleen was predeceased by her loving Mother & Father; Margaret (nee Gallway) & Stan Bowen, brothers; Cecil, Mike & Leo. Leaving to mourn her two beautiful sisters Genevive Kennedy (Jim) and Marie Lahey (Bren). Her children, who brought her so much pride and joy; Lorraine Kirkland (John), Gary Halleran (Shirley), Sharon Gavican (Tony), Jeanette Basdeo (Allan), John Halleran (Lynn), Wanda Williams (Don) and Trudy Turner (John). Her loving Grandchildren; Jamie, Matthew, Shelley, Shane, Tonya, Nicolas, Noel, Siobhan, Neil, Amy, Andrew, Joey, Jessica, Christopher, Emily & Cameron. And her sweet Great-Grandchildren; Benjamin, Jordan, Riley, Zoey, Mason, Harlow, Reese, Charlotte, Landon, Jordan, Jacob, Avery, Kallum & Hailey.

Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton with a Private Visitation on Wednesday July 14th, 2021, from 6pm - 7pm. Then open to friends from 7pm - 8pm with Covid-19 guidelines in place.
