Jean Catherine Wolverton passed away peacefully at Fredericton Hospice House on March 12, 2021. Wife of the late Basil Wolverton Presque Isle, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Gladys (Wiggins) Wilson.
Born in Gagetown, N.B February 8th, 1931, she moved to Maine in 1957 after her marriage. Jean lived there until Basil’s passing, then moved back to Fredericton.
Jean was predeceased by brother Jim (Chris-deceased); sisters, Dolly Meurling (Alric-deceased) and Gertrude Storey (Gerald-deceased).
She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Canada and the U.S.A. She will be greatly missed by her nieces Margaret Dickens (Peter) of Fredericton and Mary Perley (Gary-deceased) of Burlington, Ontario.
A special thank you to the staff of Hospice House. The compassionate care that they provided for Jean enabled her to pass away peacefully. Thank you to Rev. Father Dr. Ross Hebb, St. Peters Anglican Church for his spiritual guidance. Bishops Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. Fredericton have been entrusted with the arrangements. There will be a graveside service at a later date.
