It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Oris Brooks of Fredericton announces his passing on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Shannex Thomas Hall in Fredericton.

Born in Sussex, NB on November 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Oris and Ida (Smith) Brooks of Sussex, New Brunswick.  Walter will live on in the hearts of his wife, Freda Brooks, his daughters Cathy Hoffman (Stephen) of Pennsylvania, Karen Taylor (Douglas) of Fredericton, grandchildren Laura Hoffman (Adam Luchkiw), Jessica Duncan (Kevin Boucher), Sarah Hoffman, Adam Duncan and great granddaughter Rylie Boyer. Walter is also survived by his brother Jack Brooks (Pat) of Baxter’s Corner, sister Barbara Williams (Claude) of Sussex and several nieces and nephews.
