It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Patti Jill Lipsett (Nason) of Fredericton NB on December 1st, 2020. She was the daughter of Faye Nason and the late Harold Nason of New Maryland NB.

Patti was the happiest spending time in a barn or being in a hockey rink watching loved ones. In her 20’s, Patti spent several years as beloved head coach at the Fredericton Pony Club. There, she was part guidance counselor, part best friend, and part riding instructor to the many kids that walked through the clubroom doors. She taught that all ponies –even the naughty ones, deserved to be treated with kindness and respect and that hard work was more valuable than red ribbons. She developed lifelong friendships with many of her students…most whom credit her for helping them become the people they are today.

Patti is survived by her two children Kristina (Greg) Shanks and Brendan (Stephanie) Lipsett. If you ever wanted to see Patti’s eyes light up, you just had to mention her two grandsons Benjamin and Leo where she wore her "GaGa" title with pride. Patti also is survived by her siblings Dianna (Lee) MacPherson, Valerie (Bill) Willar and Larry (Paulette) Nason. Patti had numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews that put many smiles on her face over the years.

Patti had a special bond with her work family at Brandt Tractor and enjoyed vacationing in Florida with her family. She had a deep love for all animals, big and small. She had an unbreakable bond with her beloved dog Bosco, who was right beside her during her final moments until she crossed the other side, where her first love Cavalier met her, and they galloped off to their new forever.

Due to the current health concern of COVID-19, there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be invitation only and will take place at New Maryland United Church with Rev. Kelly Burke officiating.  For those who wish to view the funeral, it will be live streamed on Saturday December 19th at 2pm on the New Maryland United Church’s Facebook Page. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Fredericton SPCA, CARMA, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
