Surrounded by her loving family, Rebecca
Francis of Kingsclear First Nation passed away on Friday November
20th, 2020. Born in Fredericton she
was a daughter of the Clarence "Timer" Atwin and the late
Mary Catherine Devoe.
Rebecca was a loving and caring person; she was
the glue that held the family together. She was our
mother. Known for her sense of humor, she enjoyed watching
the W network. Rebecca loved Christmas and Boney M
music. An animal lover at heart, she took in strays and fed
them. Rebecca was proud of her culture and one of the very
few remaining Wolastoqiyik language carriers. She was the
one that we turned too for advice for
everything.
Rebecca will be deeply missed by her children;
Chrissy Francis (Chelsey), Vincent Francis (Donna), Ryan Francis,
Bruce Francis, Shaun Francis and Brett Francis (Kristine),
her much loved grandchildren; Aneesa, Cipriana (Jake), Natawne,
Tatiana, Brett Jr., Drake, Abel and Tyra, one great granddaughter
Zayda Perley, a chosen sister Rosemary Young, niece Charlee Paul
(Shawn), god children Terry and Eric T as well as several
cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent Francis,
grandchildren Turell and Jenna-Marie, sister Paula Paul and chosen
sister Freda Berube, several aunts and uncles and her Pomeranian
Baby.
Visitation will be held at her home, 606
Apartment lane, Kingsclear First Nation, (Please wear a mask) on
Saturday November 21st starting at 6 PM and
Sunday all day. A Funeral Mass will be held on
Monday November 23rd at 11 AM from St
Ann’s Kingsclear Catholic Church. Interment will
