The family of Arnold Libby sadly announce his passing on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton. Predeceased by his wife, Margaret, he is survived his son, Brent (Lydia) of Mazerolle Settlement; his daughter, Debbie Dow (Beverly) of Noonan; his daughter, Andrea Libby (Stephen) of Durham Bridge; grandsons, David Dow, Derek Libby (Tiffany), Lucas Libby (Elaine); and great grandchildren Abigail and Jacob.

Born in Woodstock NB, Arnold spent his entire life in Fredericton. He was a plumber by trade and spent most of his working life with Leachman’s Plumbing & Heating.

Arnold, with his wife Margaret, were members of the Barker’s Point Swingers Square Dance Club for many years. He was an active member of Greenwood Drive Baptist Church serving on various boards for several years. Arnold was also a member of the local Knights of Pythias Lodge and he cherished every moment spent with the Lodge. He travelled extensively for the Lodge with trips to other Lodges around the Maritimes and accompanied by his wife, they attended Supreme Lodge in Florida and Arizona. Arnold achieved many ranks within the Lodge including Grand Chancellor and the highest rank the Lodge can bestow on a member—the rank of the Golden Spur.

At the request of the family and due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish to attend, there will be a graveside service at the Seymour Cemetery, Kingsley on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating assisted by Rev. Jason Hinsdale. The family asks that all Covid-19 protocols be followed while at graveside.
