The passing of Maureen Cecelia Harris Thomas of Fredericton NB, wife of the late Don Thomas, occurred at Hospice House Fredericton, on Sunday November 1, 2020. Born December 1st, 1951 in Fredericton NB, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Harris.
Maureen is survived by her sons, Fred Harris (Mary), Chris Thomas (Kara) and her daughter Amanda Thomas (Tyler), her grandchildren, Alex Harris, C.J. and Tucker Thomas, Cameron and Anna Cunningham, her sister Ellen Bransfield, and longtime friend, Laurie Seeley, who she could always count on.
Maureen’s passion in caring for others came out in her employment at Horizon Health’s Transition Care Unit, which ended abruptly due to a brain aneurysm. Left on disability, but surviving surgery, Maureen was able to enjoy life to the fullest, loving her family and friends. Following this she fought a courageous battle with cancer, but never gave up hope that one day she would beat it.
There will be a small graveside service with family and friends.
