We are saddened by the loss of our dear sister Susan Schriver. She passed away peacefully in her sleep August 20,2020 at the age of 58 years.

She was a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed by her siblings Trevis (Dianne) Schriver of Nackawic, NB, Anna Parlee of Fredericton, NB  and Richard (Holly) Schriver of Douglas, NB plus her nieces and nephews, cousins and many others.

Susan grew up in Maugerville, New Brunswick.  The daughter of of Florence (Savage) and William (Bill) Schriver (deceased) and her younger brother Josh (deceased) who she was very close to as a child.

Though her education and work journey Sue lived in a variety of places including Ontario,Kentucky, Maine and Florida. She loved to travel and always was planning her next adventure and pouring over her maps to see where next she would be heading.

Susan received a Doctorate of Philosophy, School of Christian Education and Leadership at Southern Baptist Theological seminary in Louisville,Ky in  2000. Her dissertation was on The Impact of a Ceremonial Rite of Blessing upon Family Relationships. While studying for her PHD she was included in the Who’s Who among students in American universities and colleges. Her mother was particularly proud of Susan’s academic accomplishments.

In recent years Susan had worked with autistic children in the school system where her education experience allowed her to make differences in so many lives.

She loved God, her family, and the simple things in life, like clouds, rocks, seashells, and the ocean. She saw Gods handiwork in the clouds and her encounters with all Gods creatures. She like crafting and flowers and seeing the eagles flying over the St John River. She truly appreciated God’s creations and found beauty in everything.

She loved people and like her mother had a giving heart and was a faithful friend and confidant to many.

She was a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, cousins, and many others and by her best buddy Chance dog who loved her so.

The immediate family will be having a private funeral (due to Covid restrictions) on Wednesday at Skyline Acres Baptist Church in Fredericton, NB.

We rejoice in knowing that she is in the arms of her Saviour and singing with the angels!
