It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Emile Martin 1953-2015 Upper Kingsclear, NB. Paul Martin husband of Carole Martin of Upper Kingsclear passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital, on July 23, 2015, at the age of 62 after a lengthy illness. Born in Baie-Ste-Anne, he was a son of the late Allison and Margaret (Robichaud) Martin.

Paul was a hard worker. He served on the Fredericton City Police and also built and ran a successful bailiff business for more than 20 years. He had a lot of interests in life. He served as President of the York West ATV Club, was instrumental in building the Porcupine Lodge, was a die-hard fan of the Montreal Canadians and his favorite Nascar driver, Jimmie Johnson. He loved to travel and his favorite vacation spot was Jamaica.

Paul had a zest for life and was always the life of the party. He had a big heart and was always available to help his friends. Some nicknamed him "Homer" and some nicknamed him the "Lobster Chef" because during the Christmas holidays, he and Carole always opened their home to friends and family for an entire day of lobster cooking.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, the former Carole Chiasson; one daughter Melissa Acker (Chris) of Quispamsis; one son Tony Guimond (Devon) of Mazerolle Settlement; three grandchildren Allie and James Guimond and Jenny Acker; two sisters Priscilla Doucet (Leonard) of Shediac and Arilda LeBlanc (Aimee) of Moncton; five brothers Walter (Peggy) of Elliot Lake ON, Archie (Pierrette) of Montreal PQ, Fernand (Flora) of Bay du Vin, Allison Jr. (Adrienne) of Miramichi and Norbert (Leola) of Baie-Ste-Anne. Paul was predeceased by four brothers Rene, Gerald, Donald and Aurele.

Paul will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

By his request there will be no visiting or funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Oromocto Public Hospital Inc. or the York County West ATV Club would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bishop’s Funeral Home (458-1885)
