On Sunday July 12, 2015, Malcolm Eugene Sabattis, of Kingsclear, NB passed away at his home at the age of 55. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of Jean Sacobie.

Malcolm, who was an outstanding carpenter by trade, loved to hunt and fish. He really enjoyed cooking, especially barbecuing. He liked watching nature shows on the Discovery channel and was a big fan of "The Waltons".

He is survived by his wife Bernadette (Paul) Sabattis ; his son Kyle (Liza) Sacobie; step-children Jessica Thibodeau, Krista Sacobie, Josh Sacobie, Samantha Paul, Sabrina Paul, Amber Hawkins; grandchildren Kaleb Sacobie, Devyn Sacobie, Taeya Sacobie ,Dylan Papazian, and Jaxson Hawkins; sister Roberta Meuse (Steve) , special niece Mandy Meuse (Steven), great nephew Kree Triska; special chosen family Loretta Sabattis (Arthur), Cora Tomer, June Sabattis, Rosemary Young (David); brothers Frank Sabattis, Jim Sabattis (Marsha); several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special nephew Owen Young; his faithful dog "Buddy". Malcolm was also predeceased by grandson Chad Sacobie; his sister Dawn Marie Sacobie and by "Momma and Dada" Sabattis.

Resting at his home 407 Kingsclear Avenue, Kingsclear First Nation with visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday.  The funeral service will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Thursday July 16, 2015 at 11 am with Fathers Matthew Onwagigbo and Curtis Sappier officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery, Kingsclear.

Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
