On Saturday July 11, 2015, Althea C. Fraser, of Charters Settlement, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born in Charters Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and May (O’Leary) Fletcher and wife of the late William A. "Bill" Fraser.

Althea was an exceptional homemaker.  Anglican by faith, she held many offices within the church.  Althea and her husband were part of the original 12 founding members of the New Maryland Rec Center.

Faith and family were an important part of her life.  She is survived by Pat (Mac) Burns; grandson Ryan (Jacklyn) Burns; great granddaughters Ava, Penelope and Willow; Susan and Gerry Curtis, Lynda (Brian) Johnson; Paul (Carol) Fletcher; nieces, great nieces and great nephews; special cousins Cathy, Lasca and the Frasers.  Althea was also predeceased by sisters Elizabeth, Mildred and brother Ernest.

Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton with visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  The funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 1224 Route 101, Nasonworth on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at 11 am with Bishop Bill Hockin officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Mary the Virgin Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Pine Grove Foundation or St. Mary the Virgin Church Cemetery Fund.
