John Michael Kelly, 57, of Fredericton, passed away peacefully on June 11 after a short battle with cancer.  Born in Quebec in 1958, he was the son of the late Gerald and Margaret (Baker) Kelly of Grand Falls.

John is survived by his wife, Judy (Orem) Kelly, aunts Marilyn Thier-Harvey (late Dave Thier and John Harvey), New York, Jackie Baker, Toronto, Adelaide Henderson (late Gerald), Fredericton, uncle, Clayton Moran (Edna), Nova Scotia, Sharon Roberge of Nova Scotia who was like a sister, brother-in-law and sister in-law, David and Brenda McManus, nephews, Shawn (Chie) McManus, James (Christine Harvie) McManus and very special great-niece and great-nephew, Momo and Hiro McManus – all of Fredericton as well as several cousins.

He was predeceased by one uncle Lawrence Baker (late Joyce), aunts Reta Adams (late Wilbert), Virginia Robichaud (late Uylsse), Glenna Mountain and Phyllis Baker and grandparents Patrick and Velma (Moran) Baker.

The family would like to gratefully acknowledge Dr. Ann Collins, Dr. Jennifer Gillis-Doyle, Palliative Care Unit and Extra-Mural for the compassionate care given to John.  Thank you to all our friends, relatives, co-workers and church family for the many prayers and encouragement during this last part of John’s journey. 

Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB with visiting hours Tuesday June 16, 2015 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be held at Holy Family Parish Church, Hanwell Road on Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Monte Peters as celebrant. For those who wish, donations to the Fredericton SPCA or the Greener Village Community Food Centre would be appreciated by the family.
