The passing of Royden M. Sabattis of Kingsclear First Nation, occurred on May 19, 2015 at home, surrounded by his family. He was a son of the late John Frank and Daisy Sabattis.

 

Royden was employed with NB Roofing for 46 years and later with the school on Kingsclear First Nation for 15 years as a janitor, from where he retired. One of his greatest loves was when he could spend as much time with his beloved grandchildren.

 

Survived by his wife Carol; children Scott, Hilliary (JR), Mildred Paul, and Jennifer Atwin; several grandchildren; sisters Loretta (Arthur), Rose (Dave), Cora, Jean, June; brother Frank; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Annie Paul, Mary Devoe; brothers Maynard, Wilfred, John, Ambrose, Peter.

 

Resting at his late home 423 Kingsclear Ave. Kingsclear First Nation on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening. A celebration of Royden’s life will be held on Monday May 25, 2015 at St. Ann’s Kingsclear Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Matthew Onwugigbo assisted by Father Curtis Sappier. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

 

For those who wish memorials may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Fund or the Diabetic Association. Pallbearers are Nathan Atwin, Gabriel Atwin, Steve Urmos, Jimmy Sabattis, Alan Sabattis, and Wilfred Sabattis. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Atwin and Frank Sabattis.
