It is with sad hearts that the family of Mary ‘Christina" Collins announce her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday April 15, 2015. She was 82.  Born in Saint John NB, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan Elizabeth (Paul) LaPorte.

She is survived by one daughter Mary Collins (Ivan) of Saint John NB; five sons Gregory LaPorte of Fredericton, Eugene Collins (Kathy) of Fredericton, Edward Collins of Fredericton, Brian Collins (Nancy) of Westfield NB, Larry Collins (Donna) of Saint John; one sister Joan Lowney of Hamilton Ontario; one brother Harold LaPorte (Connie) of Fredericton; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Christina is predeceased by her husband Lawrence "Rocky" Collins; one infant daughter Margaret Anne Collins; one sister Martina Sappier; six brothers Marvin, Gerry, George, Nick, Lewie and Pat.

Resting at 137 Paul St. on Saturday April 18 and Sunday April 19 with the funeral service on Monday April 20, 2015 from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 11 AM with Father Bill Brennan officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date in St Anthony’s Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Christina may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
