It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mae Alberta Sullivan of Noonan, NB. Mae passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the age of 77. Born in Devon, NB on May 19, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Cyril and Ruby Olive (Ackerman) Stone. Mae’s mother passed away when Mae was only three weeks old and was raised by her adoptive parents the late Jim and Stella Power in Chipman.

Prior to her retirement, Mae was employed with Canadian Tire for over 20 years and with Auto Machinery as Stock Control Manager for over 25 years.

Mae was well known for her cooking skills and thoroughly enjoyed having family and friends over for a home cooked meal. Her second home was her camp at Grand Lake and the door was always open to welcome anyone who wanted to visit, sit a spell and always have a cup of tea and a bite to eat. Always wanting to be active, Mae enjoyed bowling and crocheting was one of her favorite pastimes. Mae loved the Lord and while in Kitchener, Ontario, she converted to the Apostolic Faith Church and upon her return to NB she began attending the Apostolic Faith Church in Noonan, where she taught Sunday School for over 10 years. Youth held a very special place in Mae’s heart, which would see her travelling with them to attend Youth Camps in Newfoundland. She tirelessly helped raise funds for their trips.

Mae was the loving and devoted wife of Justus "Justy" Sullivan for 59 years. She also leaves behind her daughter Cindy and her son James both of Noonan; granddaughter Melissa Mae Morgan (Matthew) of Stanley; great grandchildren, Marcus, Maelle and Macsen. Mae is also survived by a sister, Marjorie Donovan (Arnie) of Saint John and a brother, James Stone (Marcelle) of Campbellton; several half-brothers and half-sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Resting at Apostolic Faith Church, 984 Route 10 Noonan, NB with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Apostolic Faith Church on Thursday March 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Grant Cassell officiating. In memory of Mae, donations made to Vital Aire or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
