The death of Hilda M. Savage of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday March 4, 2015 at the age of 88. Born in Jemseg, NB, she was a daughter of the late Burpee and Lottie (Dykeman) Elgee and wife of the late Royden Ernest Savage.
Hilda was affiliated with the Baptist Church and employed as an Accounting Clerk at Capital Co-op for 24 years.
Hilda leaves to mourn a daughter Sandra Bell of Fredericton; grandchildren Stacey Nason (Robert), Lisa Staples (Chad), Douglas Savage, Brandi Bell (Hanzel) Matej; great grandchildren Abby, Ryan, William, Aiden, Thomas, Alex and Adela; sisters Lois Sheppard of Calgary, AB and Shirley Mazerolle of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Russell, granddaughter Morgan, brothers Lloyd and Russell Elgee, a sister Lucille Bonnar.
Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Laurie Fenerty officiating. Interment will be private in the Sunny Bank Cemetery in the spring.
