The passing of Dorina "Doreen" Hachey of Fredericton, N.B. occurred on Saturday November 29, 2014 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was 81. Born April 14, 1933 in Baie Ste. Anne, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Andrè and Barbara (Chiasson) Manuel. Doreen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi R. C. Church in Lincoln, N.B. and was also a C.W.L. member. Doreen’s greatest joy was time spent with her family and her love of quilting beautiful blankets to be shared by family and friends.

Doreen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alderic Alphe Hachey; a daughter Brenda  Blizzard (Dwight) of Fredericton, N.B.; three sons Robert (Joannie) of Douglas, N.B., Guy (Francine) of Moncton, N.B. and Paul (Margaret) of Riverview, N.B.; 7 grandchildren Angela (Craig), Amanda (Jason), Matthew, Tristen, Denee, Ashley and Kayla; 4 great grandchildren Danielle, Luke, Alex and Zach; three sisters  Presilla (John) Miller of Fredericton, N.B., Vitaline (Lucien) Hachey of Nelson, N.B., Jacqueline (Emilien) Lirette of Baie Ste. Anne, N.B.; two brothers, Albert (Leola) Manuel and Elias Manuel of Baie Ste. Anne, N.B.,  nieces and nephews.

Her parents, a son Vincent, brothers Clément, Anthime and sisters Madona, Dora, Eliza, Meldred and Genevieve all predeceased her.

The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Tuesday December 2, 2014 from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi R. C. Church, Linclon, N.B. on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 12:00 noon with Father Mark Trzop as celebrant. Interment in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Palliative Care Unit DECRH, Fredericton Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
