The passing of David Hall Libby of French Lake, New Brunswick occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Born January 30, 1947 in Presque Isle, Maine, he was the son of the late Waldo and Marcia (Hall) Libby.

David is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 42 years, Prudence "Prudy" (Buckingham) Libby, their children, Cade (Jayne) Libby and grandchildren Austen and Summer of Waasis; Brienne (Brad) Wood and grandchildren Libby and Nate of French Lake; Courtney (Rebecca) Libby and grandchildren Ward, Josiah, Clara and Logan of East Coldstream; 8 siblings, Letitia (John) – New Hampshire, Waldo (Judy), Meredith, Paul (Rose), John (Kim), Harriett (Chuck), Gwen (Cliff) and Marc – all from Maine; sister-in-law Charity Buckingham – Hanwell and brother-in-law Stephen (Valerie) Buckingham - Fosterville, as well as several nieces and nephews.

David received a Bachelor and Master’s degree from the Faculty of Forestry, University of New Brunswick. David had a diverse career which involved various business ventures. David loved the Lord and was a dedicated and active member of the French Lake Baptist Church, as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, Awana youth leader, church treasurer (for several years) and serving on many committees.

David enjoyed the outdoors, reading and spending time at his cottage with family and friends. Most of all, David was adored by all of his 8 grandchildren and he enjoyed spending time with all of them. His kind heart, patience and great sense of humor will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Visitation will take place at French Lake Baptist Church on Friday, September 26th from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at the French Lake Baptist Church on Saturday, September 27th at 11am. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate.
