Stuart Healey passed away on September 10, 2014 in Fredericton, NB.  He was born in Simcoe, Ontario in 1930, son of the late William and Mae Healey and husband of the late Betty Healey.  He is survived by his daughters Beth and Leslye (Terry); grandchildren Heather and Adam (Rachel); his pride and joy great-granddaughter MacKenzie; sisters Donna and Margaret (Dave), and his extended family.  He was predeceased by his sister Marie and his brother Robert.

Stuart was a proud member of the RCMP for 26 years; serving in New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland and Labrador, retiring as Sergeant-Major, J Division, Fredericton. After his retirement, he was the Director of Security and a Labor Relations Officer with NB Power.

Stuart was a member of the Masonic Lodge-Westmoreland #44, Scottish Rite, Luxor Shriners, The Royal Order of Scotland, and a life member of the RCMP Veterans’ Association. He was awarded an honorary membership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was presented the Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002. Stuart was a member of the Fredericton Y and enjoyed the support and comradery of the 10:30 aquafit class.

At Stuart’s request there will be no visitation or service in Fredericton. After cremation, a private interment service will be held in Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
