The passing of Miriam I. Veysey of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on September 10, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 11, 1929 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Hyde) MacLean and wife of the father of her children the late Donald "Mike" Veysey.

 Miriam was affiliated with Grace Memorial Baptist Church, a 45 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #4, Fredericton. She was employed with Sears Ltd., and retired from the Harriett Irving Library, UNB  where she worked in the Catalogue Department.

Survived by her children Donald (Susan Kennedy),  Carol Veysey, Joyce Patterson (Wilson), Diana Thompson (Stephen), Margaret Nazar (Dr. Dennis); a sister Rev. Dr. Alice MacLean; brothers Douglas, Ed and Gordon MacLean; grandchildren Aimee Trafton (Ken), Heather Barclay, Stephanie Brown (Jason), Jessica Coutney (Kamel), Jennifer Miller (Craig), Brittany Thompson and Patrick Veysey; great grandchildren Kylan Barclay, Ameenah Coutney, Elliott Miller, Carter Stagg, Gavin Stagg and Amber Trafton; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Thelma and Elsie, brothers Allen, David, Elmer and Brian and a grandson Robbie Davis.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road with Rev. Laurie Fenerty officiating. Private interment will be at a later date in the Sunny Bank Cemetery.
