The passing of Levi Alvin Joseph M. Sabattis of the Oromocto 1st Nation occurred on Monday September 8, 2014 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born August 18, 1953 in Oromocto, NB, he was a son of the late Levi and Janie (Sacobie) Sabattis.
Survived by four sons; Merrill Martin (Tanya) of Miramichi, Levi Sabattis (Melissa) of Burton NB, Harley Sabattis of Alberta, Ben Woodcock of Fredericton, three daughters Christi Sabattis (Winton) of Oromocto, Genny Sabattis (Joey) of Ontario Trisha Sabattis (Matt) of Cambridge Narrows,four sisters Debbie Saulis (George) of Oromocto, Faye Mossop (Jim) of Maugerville, Janice Keenan of Oromocto and Phyllis Lannigan Sabattis, one brother Mark Sabattis (Joyce) of Oromocto also survived by sixteen grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.
Resting at his sister’s home 19 Hiawatha Court Oromocto 1st Nation, where visitation will take place Friday at 3 PM and all day on Saturday and Sunday, September 12th,13th and 14th. The funeral service will take place on Monday, September 15th at 11 AM from the St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church in Oromocto with Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the NB Heart and stroke Foundation.
