Audrey Ann (Hardy) Atkinson Passed away August 5, 2014 at her home. She was surrounded by her loved ones after battling a long term illness. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cecila (Sappier) Paul. She was 79 years old, born on June 9, 1935.
Audrey was a proud member of St. Mary’s First Nation and the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians. She loved to speak her native tongue, traveling, crocheting, listening to Charlie Pride & George Jones and having card/poker games with her friends and family. She enjoyed life the most when her family and friends were around.
Audrey
is survived by her four sons; Patrick Hardy (Angela) Calvin Hardy,
Earl Hardy and Tim Hardy, four daughters Brenda Hardy Commander (Jim),
Lorraine Hardy (Frank), Deana McPherson (Bob), Lisa Hardy, two
brother's Francis Paul and Stewart Paul, two sisters Emily Polchies
and Nora Paul, 26 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Vinal Hardy (Jr), two sons Jeffrey Hardy, Gerald (Jay) Hardy and one daughter Lori Lynn Hardy, four sisters, Florence Paul, Rebecca Bear, Helen Brooks and Veronica Paul, five brothers Roger Paul, Paul J. Paul Sr, Maurice Paul and David Paul .
Resting at her home 20 Bear Drive Saint Mary’s 1st Nation, on Wednesday evening (August 6) & Thursday (August 7) until 6:30 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday August 8, 2014 at 2 PM with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton.
