The passing of W. G. Dyrlin Redstone occurred on Saturday July 19, 2014 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 30, 1937 at Pennfield, N.B. Dyrlin was the son of the late William and Myrtle (Justason) Redstone.

He is survived by brothers Harold (Gloria) of Kitchener, Ontario, Carl (Arlene) of Livingston, Texas, Wayne (Geraldine) of Fredericton, N.B and sister Eleanor (Angus) MacInnis of Brampton, Ontario. Dyrlin is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Stephen Redstone, Heather (Redstone) Lichty, Nancy MacInnis, Glenn (Stella) MacInnis, Bruce (Monica) MacInnis, Julie (Paul) Redstone-Lewis, and Lisa Redstone. He also leaves great nieces and great nephews: Nicholas Redstone, Jessica Lichty, Erika MacInnis, Mallory Ehrenreich, and Viktor Ehrenreich.

Dyrlin graduated from UNB with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in 1961 and later, graduated from Western University with a Master’s in Business Administration. He spent most of his career in Fredericton working for the provincial Government until his retirement in 1992. Dyrlin enjoyed reading, curling and spending time at his cottage at Lake George.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. on Saturday July 26, 2014 from 1 to 3 PM at which time a memorial service will take place in the Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will take place in the funeral home immediately following the service. A private family interment will take place in Pennfield, NB at a later date.
