The passing of David Allison "Al" Hazlett of Fredericton occurred at home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the age of 66.
Born in Fredericton, he was a son of the late Irvine and Althea (Sinclair) Hazlett.
He was a self-employed painter. Al really enjoyed playing Pool and was a dedicated member of the Monday Night Pool League. In his younger years, he was an avid hockey and baseball player.
Al is survived by a son Craig (Michelle) and a grandson Brendon both of Fredericton; brothers, Arthur (Wanda), Clair (Donna) and Darrell all of Fredericton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his step-father and mother, Alphonse Perry and Althea Perry and his father Irvine Hazlett.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel immediately following the visitation at 4 PM. Rev. Steve Matthews of the Cornerstone Church, Burtt’s Corner, will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Canadian Mental Health Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
