It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Martha L. Nightingale, age 64, of Royal Road, NB sadly announce her passing at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on March 20, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Burns and Greta (Bird) Rogers.
Martha was employed as a Teacher’s Assistant at Royal Road School and a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1045 St. Mary’s Street.
Survived by her husband Leonard; children Curtis (Anong) of Calgary, Jeremy, and Marty (Melissa) all of Vancouver; 2 grandchildren Kira and William Nightingale; a sister Kathy Arsenault (Donnie); brothers Jimmy Rogers (Gerry), Tommy Rogers (Theresa), and Lloyd Rogers (Yolande) all of Saint John; several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1045 St. Mary’s Street on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Claude Gilks speaking.
For those who wish donations may be made to the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation. Leonard and family wish to thank friends, family and staff at both the Royal Road Elementary School and Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital for their love and support during this difficult time.
