Ruth worked as a CR3 at the Oromocto Public Hospital Medical Records Department for 10 years and later worked at Base Supply (B10) at CFB Gagetown until her retirement in 1990. Always active and wanting to live life to the fullest, she always enjoyed meeting up with her friends to go bowling or Square Dancing with the Oromocto Pioneer Square Dance Club. Ruth and her husband Edward were also active members of the Mic Mac Trailer Club.
For many years, Ruth was a faithful and dedicated member of the Oromocto United Church UCW and recently began attending St. Lukes Chapel, CFB Gagetown where she was a strong supporter of St. Luke’s Chapel Guild.
Loved and respected by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed by "the love of her life and best friend", her husband of 59 years, Edward Garnett. Ruth loved and was loved by her two daughters, Deborah Daigle (Henry) of Mactaquac and Barbara Kinney (Roger) of Fredericton and will be greatly missed by her two cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Daigle (Katie Ingraham) of Fredericton and Ashley Underhill of Edmonton, Alberta; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth loved animals and held a special place in her heart for Barbara’s Black Labs, "Caspian" and "Storm" who were always lovingly referred to as "My Boyz".
Her parents, a sister Ruby Keeble and brothers Gildes and Herbie Keeble all predeceased her.
