Annie P. Dorcas age 91 of Fredericton passed away peacefully on February 1, 2012 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Napadogan, NB, she was a daughter of the late Bertram and Mary (Dorcas) Bavis and wife of the late Austin Francis Dorcas. Annie was United by faith and a member of the Nashwaak Auxilary Branch #67, Napadogan. Annie is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

 

Survived by her daughter Linda O’Shaughnessy (Sean) of Saint John; sons Paul (Jackie) of Edmundston and Jeff of Fredericton; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two daughters Gail and Carol, son Terry, son-in-law Lynwood, sisters Hazel, Mabel, Jennie, Elsie and Helen, brothers Harry and Albert.

 

As honoring Annie’s request, there will be no visitation or service. A graveside funeral service will be held in the Hillcrest United Cemetery, Stanley NB in the spring. Bishop’s Funeral Home have been entrusted with arrangements.
