Mary Isabella (Horne) (Arbeau) Adams

The passing of Mary Isabella Adams occurred on February 27, 2010 at York Manor Nursing Home where for the past several years she was a resident of Dixon Lodge. Born in Scotland on May 16, 1913, she was the daughter of John and May Horne. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Hazen Arbeau; son, Wayne; brothers, John, George and Ian; sisters, Rena, Chrissie and Nellie; and her second husband, Donald S. Adams.

She is survived by her sister, Clara (B.C.); step-daughters, Romona Rogers (Fredericton) and Catherine Colpitts (Okotoks, Alberta); step-sons, Robert Adams (Carol) and Ray Adams (Judith) of Fredericton, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop’s Funeral Home Ltd. Cremation has taken place. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or funeral. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Mary be made to the York Foundation Inc., where she received such wonderful care, the DECH Foundation, Grace Memorial Baptist Church, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
