It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Doreen Roberta Sloan on May 6th, 2020 at White Rapids Manor. She was 91.
Born Mary Roberta Murphy of Fredericton and adopted by the late George and Bessie Barker of Burton.
In addition to her parents and three brothers, she was predeceased by her husband Gerald Sloan.
Doreen is survived by her son Galane Barker (Mary Ellen), granddaughter Krista Carr (Jody), grandson Joe Barker (Kelly) of Burton, great-grandchildren Taylor, Maddy, Bryce, Evan, Faith and Reece, several nieces and nephews.
Mother worked in the Fredericton area for many years for a lot of great people and made many friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at White Rapids Manor for the care and compassion she received in her final days.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishops Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19, restrictions there will be no visitations, only a private immediate family graveside service will be held in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
