It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of
Geneva Collette of Lincoln, NB at the Hospice Fredericton on May 4,
2020. Born in Shediac, N.B., she was the daughter of the
late Édouard and Alma (Belliveau) LeBlanc.
Geneva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and
sister. A strong, hard working woman who was deeply
dedicated to her family and friends. Always putting her own
needs on hold in order to help and support those around her.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her immediate and
extended family members. Deeply devoted to her faith, she
spent much of her time praying and participating in church activities,
such as church suppers and CWL. During the last twelve
years, she also donated her time to delivering Meals on Wheels to her
community members in need. She will always live on in the hearts of
family and friends as the caring, loving and devoted person she
was.
Geneva is survived by her husband Robert Collette of Lincoln,
NB; four daughters, Lisette Gallagher (Jeff), Gisèle Hickey
(Neal), Jeanette Collette and Lucille Collette; two grand-children,
Brennan and Jessica Hickey; four siblings, Alphonse and Eugene both of
Moncton, NB., Lucie Colucci (Frank) of Edmonton, AB and Norbert of
Wasa, BC.; two sisters-in-law, Seraphine LeBlanc of Shediac and
Shirley LeBlanc of Surrey, BC.
She was predeceased by one sister, Edith and seven brothers:
Lucien, Émile, Albert, Joe, Paul-Édouard,
Alphée and Léandre.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of
Hospice Fredericton for the excellent care of Geneva during her last
days.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishops Funeral Home. Due
to the COVID-19, restrictions there will be no visitations, only a
private family graveside service.
Donations to the Oromocto Meals on Wheels or the Hospice
Fredericton are welcomed by the family. Personal condolences
