Hildred Marguerite (Williams) McKay, 89, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2020 at Fredericton Hospice. Marguerite was the daughter of Ludlow Frederick and Elsie Charlotte (MacKay) Williams. She leaves her loving and devoted daughters, Addie Marshall, Elaine (Greg) Hamilton, Bonny (Alton) Keetch and Vera Gammon. Loved and missed by adored grandchildren Angela Jackson, Darlene Blunston, Amanda Hamilton, Jennifer LaCroix, Wendy Campbell and David Keetch, Carol DeSaulniers, Sharon McKay and Donna Ronalds; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. As well as her parents, she is predeceased by husband Irvine and son Gordon and sisters Mable Tripp, Mary McQuinn, June Belliveau and infant brother Robert.

Marguerite worked for Wilson’s Laundry and as a seamstress at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for 25 years. She loved to cook, sew and do crafts, and garden. Few that have tasted it, will never forget her butterscotch pie, fudge and fruit cake. She loved to travel and was always ready to go, when the opportunity came her way.

She was a life-long member of Christ Church (Parish) Church and will be sadly missed by her Church family, and many friends, including those made while at the Oromocto Special Care Home.

A loving, gentle and kind lady whose numerous acts of kindness will long be remembered.

Due to the current health crisis, no visitation or service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
