The passing of Gary Arden Flower of Fredericton, NB occurred on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was 77. Born on May 5, 1942 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Perley and Dora (Fidler) Flower.

A member of the Faith Baptist Church in New Maryland where he also served on the board of trustees, Gary was a retired self-employed plumber.

Survived by his wife Cheryl (Hebb) Flower, one daughter Jodi (Michael MacNeill) Flower, one son Peter (Jennifer) Flower, four grandchildren Mallory (Chris) Dykeman, Shane (Kara) Dykeman, Erica (Joel) and Sydney Flower, one sister Bonnie (Irvine) Johnston, two stepchildren, Michelle (Jerry) Pugh, Michael (Sheila) Palmer, six step grandchildren, Jenaya and Kiera Pugh, Matthew, Riley, Caleb, and Ava Palmer, three sisters-in-law, Theresa Logan, Charlene (David) Irving, Donna (Glen) Lamb, one brother-in-law Ian (Liz) Logan, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Diane in 2008 and one sister Donna (Chester) Marek.

Although there will be no visitation at Gary’s request, a memorial service will take place on Thursday March 19th, 2020 at 2PM from the Faith Baptist Church, 525 New Maryland Highway with Rev. Alan Fewkes officiating. Interment will take place in the Rockland Cemetery in McAdam in the spring.

To put the safety of friends and family first, we think it is best to limit the funeral to family members only. There will no longer be a reception in the church gymnasium following the funeral service, but family is encouraged to come to Dad and Cheryl’s house afterwards. The family may schedule a celebration of life event at some point in the future when it is more appropriate and safe for everyone to gather in larger crowds.

For those who choose to remember Gary by way of a charitable donation and in lieu of flowers, the family have suggested Faith Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton have been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences and sharing of memories can be expressed through www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
