It is with heavy hearts the family of Ivan Legere announce his passing on November 19th, 2019. Born on November 27th, 1935, he was the son of Ovile and Alfreda (Leger) Legere
Ivan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlene Estella (Sissy); his 5 children, Troy (Teah), Sherry Lynn (Terry), Shawn (Tammy), Sheila (Tim) and Kirk. Grandchildren, Amber (Andrew), Ryan (Emily), Kayla (Greggory), Olivia, Benjamin, Alynn and Danielle. Great grandchildren, Savannah, Cohen, Levi, Lauren and Taylor. Ivan is also survived by his siblings; Rene, Donald (Sue), Dianne, Doreen (Gerald), Alfred (Ellen), Jeanette, Louise (Carson), Donna (Lloyd) and Danny (Karen). Ivan was predeceased by his parents, brother Arthur, infant sister Dorine, sister-in-law Leona and brother-in-law Johnny.
Ivan’s greatest passions in life were simple, Family, fishing and hunting. He was considered by his sons and daughters to be the "MacGyver" of everything. The support and love for his children was unconditional.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Bishop’s Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held from St. Francis of Assisi at 12 Noon on Saturday November 23rd. A reception to follow. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The family is grateful for all the support and kindness shown to Ivan by many caregivers and the nurses of 4E.
