It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Doris Emma (Lipsett) Gorman on September 30, 2019 at the age of 93. Doris was a resident of Paradise Villa in Fredericton for the past 4 years and the family would like to acknowledge the kind and caring staff and appreciate the level of care she received over that time.

After graduating from Fredericton High School in 1942 Doris worked for the New Brunswick Telephone Company as a Switchboard Operator.  During that time she met the love of her life Murray Gorman and they were married on November 6, 1946.  Doris then worked for James S. Neill + Sons and then moved away with Murray to various Air Force bases where she became a full time Mom to Gary, Cathy and Janet.  In 1971 upon Murray’s retirement from the military Doris and Murray moved to their new home in New Maryland where they lived for 41 years surrounded by friends and family.  In 2012 they moved together to a Special Care Home and then in 2015 Doris relocated to Paradise Villa following Murray’s passing.
