It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our Mother on  August 9, 2019 at Hospice Fredericton. Surrounded by her children and loved ones, she waited for "her" Blue Jays to secure the game before peacefully beginning her journey.  Mother courageously defied cancer for many years.

She is survived by daughter Linda Brown, sons Bob (Laura MacLean), Larry (Kim Long), grand daughters Jennifer Waye (Jon), Melinda Kelly (Blake), Megan Brown and Paige Brown and great grandsons Cole Waye, Hunter and Ben Kelly.

Born in Fredericton on June 26, 1926 she was the only daughter of Allan and Bessie True.  She lived her formative years on the family farm in Lincoln.  After her marriage to Alvin "Brownie" they relocated to their life long home in Barkers Point.  Here they raised their children and developed many friendships.  Mary enjoyed her view of the UNB Campus, the Saint John River and sunsets that never got old.   Mary had a long career as a bookkeeper with the Capitol Coop Dairy.  She enjoyed camping, travelling throughout the province supporting local sports teams and spoiling family with homemade goods.  In her later years word search and jigsaw puzzles were a passion but nothing compared to watching her Blue Jays, her boy Sydney Crosby and curling.

Husband Brownie, infant son John and recently daughter Nancy predeceased Mary.  Also gone before her were her parents Allan and Bessie True and brothers Gerald and Ronald.

Mary will be remembered for her quick wit, great cooking, love for her family, pleasant demeanour and strength.

To honour Mary visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road at 1:00 p.m. Friday Aug. 16, funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. and private burial immediately following at Lincoln Community Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to Hospice Fredericton, MS Society Atlantic Division, or charity of choice.
