It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Graham announces her passing on August 9, 2019 at her home in Fredericton, N.B.

Joyce was born in Chatham, N.B. to the late Harold and Mildred MacKay of Black River, N. B.

She was predeceased by her husband, David, her baby brother Allison and her parents, when she was 6 years old.  Joyce was raised by her maternal grandparents, J.W. and Elspeth MacNaughton.

In 1998 her older brother Fraser passed and last fall her youngest sister Shirley also passed.

She is survived by her sister Dorothy (Bryan) Lind, Comox, B.C.  Her daughters Beth (Owen) Brewer, Bathurst, N.B. and Nancy (Allan) Denton, Rocky View County, AB.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Angela Brewer, Montreal, QC, Katrina Brewer, Sudbury, ON, Andrew (Dalene) Brewer, Lloydminster, Sask., Kimberly (Wesley) MacLean, Oromocto, NB and Matthew (Angela) Denton, Hammonds Plains, NS.  There are 5 great grand children, Maizy, Tyler, Madison, Thatcher and Parker.  Mom also held dear her nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joyce was a devoted wife and mom.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and spent endless hours in her garden.  Digging in the soil (often with no gloves) gave her great joy. 

She made lifelong friends at Wilmot Church, her bridge club, curling and lawn bowling.

Our family enormously appreciates the wonderful care given by the nurses and staff of Extra Mural.  Without their guidance and compassionate support, we could not have cared for mom at home.  Mom called them the gals with wings.

Visitation will be at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Thursday, August 15, at 1:00 PM followed by The Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
