"When you wish upon a star, makes no difference where you are…" Our hearts are so sad as we announce the passing of our beloved Trudy Lee Booker. Trudy passed away peacefully at Hospice House, Fredericton on Sunday May 26, 2019. lovingly watched over and comforted by her family and by the amazing staff at Hospice House.

Born in Fredericton on January 24, 1962 she was a daughter of the late Earl Thomas Booker and the late Dolly Katherine (McLean) Booker.

Trudy was one of those rare individuals who endeared herself to anyone who needed an encouraging word or one of her smiles that could light up a room. She was a much loved and respected school bus driver (since 2006) for the NB Anglophone West School District and was also Treasurer of the Local 1096 CUPE. She also enjoyed another career, as a Baker, at Moxon’s Country Pumpkin.

Never one to be idle for long, she enjoyed making jewelry and in recent years, Trudy became an accomplished artist and she loved to share her paintings with her family. To say she loved Bingo would be an understatement. Getting together with her "Bingo Pals" was always a blast.

To many, Trudy became an "Angel" in their lives as she visited folks every week helping them with their cleaning needs or simply sitting with them for a chat. Between coffee, muffins and conversation and the sharing of pickles and recipes, she became a "breath of fresh air" and a wonderful friend that made a difference wherever she went.

Trudy loved her family and was a dedicated mom to her two sons, Travis Barr of Edmonton, AB and Kyle Barr of Fredericton. The strong bond with her only sister, Joy Booker (Pierre Bigras) of Fredericton was a treasure in her life. She also leaves behind her brother Earl Booker of Fredericton as well as step-brothers, Myles McLean (Linda) of Stoney Creek, ON and Eugene McLean Barb) of Woodstock, NB; nieces and nephews.

The family will gather for a time of visitation at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Saturday June 1, 2019 12:00 until 1:45 PM followed by a service celebrating the life of Trudy Booker at 2:00 PM from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Matthews will officiate. Interment, in the Rural Cemetery Extension, Woodstock Road, will take place at a later date. For those who wish to remember Trudy by way of a charitable donation, the family suggests donating to Hospice House Fredericton or Cancer Research.
