Surrounded by her family and with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Ann Francis (Cross) which occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on February 9, 2019 at the age of 65.

Peggy is survived by her sisters Rhoda Waldon, Mary Lou Francis and Linda Mae McQuade. She was predeceased by her parents, Gladys and Emerson Francis and her sister Linda Lou Omari. 

Peggy had 3 daughters, Serena Stark (Ernest), Bonnie Nicholson (Jerry) and August Cross (Bobby).  Peggy had 5 grandchildren, Joshua Phillips (Holly), Rachelle Phillips and Jacob Phillips, Meagan Cross and Joey Cross and several great grandchildren, Joshua Jr, Nicholas, Tristen, Christian, Urijah and Siyonni.

Peggy spent many hours enjoying her favorite tv programs and listening to her favorite music, especially George Canyon. Peggy’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her and she cherished every gift, photo, letter or card they sent her.

A special thank you to the ICU Nurses, Nelly and Chelsea who provided Peggy with the best of care and respect they showed Peggy and for the words of encouragement that they gave to her daughters and family members. Thank you to Charlotte Endall for taking care of Peggy over the past 20 years and treated her like a member of her family.

At the request of the family, there will no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada www.heartandstroke.ca/.  Online condolences and the sharing of memories may also be expressed online through www.bishopsfuneralhome.com.
