It is with sad hearts that the family of Norma Edith Sherwood of Maugerville, NB announce her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on January 28th, 2019. Born in Aroostook NB she was a daughter of the late Richard and Pearl Downing.
Norma was a lifelong member of the Greenwood Drive Baptist Church.
She will be deeply missed by her children; Heidi (John Boucher), Matthew (Tracey) and Sarah Sherwood, 7 grandchildren; Caitlin (Bill), Brittany, Zackary (Charlotte), Lily, Cody, Katie-Sue and Jamee-Marie, 4 great-grandchildren Rebecka, Emma, Myles and William; brothers and sisters, Lois Walker, Alma Downing, Betty Price, James Downing, Connie Scott, Jerry Downing and Nina Crooks, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; brother, Dick Downing and sisters, Marg Morton and Anne Waugh.
The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 6-9 PM. A celebration of Norma’s life will be held at the Greenwood Drive Baptist Church on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11 AM with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment in the spring in Maugerville, NB.
Donations in Norma’s memory may be made to the Greenhill Lake Camp or the Greenwood Dr. Baptist Church.
