Roy Douglas Way’s farewell tour has finally come to an end. His final encore was played on December 24, 2018.

He left this world as feisty and stubborn as he had lived for 66yrs. We are relieved that he is on to his next gig in ‘Fiddlers Green’ and will be joined by his many friends, dogs, mother (Mary Way), father (Doug way), and his son (Dougie Way). We are certain it will be a joyous reunion and his son will greet him with his favourite beverage, many stories and a few lasses.

Roy lived a very active life and wore many hats. From military police, paramedic, dog trainer and his biggest claim to fame being the lead singer to the Celtic band ‘Bottoms Up.’ He loved being on stage and had a larger than life personality.

He will be missed by his family and friends. A special thank you to Remona, Nelda and Eric for their love and kindness to dad right up until the very end. You are earth angels.

There will be no visitation or service as requested. His ashes will be returned to his proud heritage in Cape Breton.

Donations, if you wish, can be made to the SPCA or the Alzheimer’s society in memory of Roy.

Bottoms Up Dad. We will see you someday in Fiddler’s Green.
