Pauline passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton. She was the loving wife of Glenwood Brown, who predeceased her in 2007. Pauline was born in Hardwood Ridge, NB in 1934 to Stanley and Leah (Drost) Kennedy.

She was a doting stay-at-home Mom to her eight children, and lovingly provided childcare to several neighbourhood children over the years. She was known for being a terrific cook and her delicious baked goods were enjoyed by many. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and members of her community.

She loved nothing more than spending time with family. In 2015, Pauline was thrilled to meet for the first time, her grown granddaughter, Hilary (daughter of her late son, Dale), and her family. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Kenny); sons, Darrel (Vickey), Dana (Mary), Danny (Tanya), Dean (Kim), and Dow (Sharon); sisters, Marie and Wanda (Brent); brothers, Carl (Eileen), Freddy, Terry (Brenda), and Kevin (Faith); 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie (Donnie) Campbell; and son-in-law, Dale (Debbie) Dunphy.

Besides her husband and parents, Pauline was predeceased by her son, Dale; her daughter, Donna; and her brothers, Edward, Frank, John, Paul and Winston.

Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Thursday, December 20 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 21 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Prince William Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dustin, Brian, Brody, Nick, Jeremy, Michael, Christopher and Daylen.

A very special "THANK YOU" to the staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home, who was more like family to our mother. We will be forever grateful to each of you for the special care and love you extended to her. She loved you all and appreciated your kindness and affection. We are sure you will all miss her (and her treats) as much as we will.

Donations in Pauline’s memory can be made to Pine Grove Nursing Home or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
