Born November 8th, 1929 in Skoki, Poland, daughter of Ludwig Szunert and Josephine Agustyniak, she was the second youngest and last living of thier 7 children. Unexpectedly passing in peace on November 30th, 2018 at age 89 by the side of her daughter.

Predeceased by her loving husband Eugene in 1981, and daughter Anna in 1950.  She is survived by her 2 children Zbigniew (Stan) Glazar of Brockville, Ont. and daughter Maryla Glazar-Goodspeed of Fredericton, N.B.; grandchildren Gordon Sean Goodspeed and Eugene Myles Goodspeed; great grandchildren Dawn, Ryleigh, and Lyra, all of Harvey, N.B

Barbara married Eugene Micheal Glazar in April of 1946 in Poland.  They later immigrated to Canada in November of 1961. Living in Ontario for the majority of her life, she had just recently moved to N.B. in August with her daughter Maryla, following recent moves to the province by her 2 grandsons to be closer to family.

These final few years of her life being some of the most adventurous in recent years.  From road trips, to dinners out, hotel stays, selecting and decorating her new home, spending significantly more time with family, and spending some cherished moments with her newest great grandchild Lrya born only 11 days before her passing.

She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend.  She spent her life fulfilling these roles, providing love, care and devotion to her family.  She enjoyed meeting and talking with anyone, sharing many stories, laughing and always enjoying the moment.  She made friends everywhere she went and was a constant joy to have as part of your life.  She loved to sing and to dance, doing either whenever she had an opportunity.  She loved the holidays, and Christmas most of all, decorating her home for every occasion, and of course having everyone over to show it all off.  Everyone will miss her smile, laughter and thousand kisses.

Visitation will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home on Wednesday December 5th from 12-2 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Father Monte Peters officiating from the funeral home chapel

The family wishes to thank the staff at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton for their care during Barbara's final days.  Barbara was always a very giving person and participated and donated to several charities regularly.

For those that wish to remember Barbara by way of charitable donation or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Kidney Foundation of Canada.
