Muriel Taylor passed away peacefully at the Fredericton Hospice on Sunday, November 25.  She was 95 years old.

Muriel was born in Hamilton, Ontario.  She was predeceased by her husband Gordon H. Taylor, son John Taylor, and son David Taylor.  She is survived by her daughter Patricia Lynn Evered (Brent) of Rusagonis, NB; granddaughter Miranda Phillips (Jonathan) of Grande Prairie, AB; grandson Andrew Evered (Tara) of Rusagonis, NB; and four grandchildren:(Julia, Charlotte and Harrison of Grande Prairie; and Hudson of Rusagonis.

Muriel grew up in Hamilton, ON and, following her marriage to Gordon, lived in the United States until his death in 1961 when she moved back to Hamilton to raise her family.  She moved to Fredericton in 1992 to be close to family.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great friend. She brought fun and happiness into the lives of everyone she met. A kind and caring person, she was always willing to go that extra mile for someone, to help them in any way she could. Her determination and perseverance helped her meet the many challenges of her life. She loved to have fun, talk to people and laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and was a constant joy to have around. She was the life of the party. There are so many stories of the crazy capers she either got into or made happen. Everyone will miss her smile and laughter. She made a difference in so many lives.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Eden’s Retirement Villa for their gentle help to Muriel over the last year, and especially the exceptional, caring staff of Hospice House Fredericton.  A private celebration of Muriel’s life will be held at a later date.   For those who wish, donations can be made in Muriel’s memory to Hospice House Fredericton.
