It is with sad hearts, that the family announce the passing of Ralph Paul Miles of Fredericton, after a short illness but a long and happy life. Ralph passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday October 21st, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was 85. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late Henry G (Bud) and Vera (Boddington) Miles.
Ralph enjoyed all sports and games of any kind. He especially loved playing hockey and harness racing. He enjoyed walking and biking on the trails in Marysville and Fredericton. Most of all Ralph loved time with family.
Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years, Sheila (Fallon), their children; Ralph (Susan), David (Tammy) and Jennifer (Bill), one cherished granddaughter Emily Taylor, brothers and sisters; Ab – Albert (Dorothy), Gib - Gilbert, Wiff – William, Pat - Patricia, George (Betty), Peggy – Margaret Banks, Jill and Charlie as well as several cousins’ nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers Donald, Joseph and Arthur.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Ralph’s life will be held on Wednesday October 24 from 11 AM - 1 PM at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB. Interment will be held at a later date.
Donation’s in memory of Ralph may be made to the Cancer Research Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society, Fredericton Minor Hockey or New Brunswick Harness Racing.
Bishop’s Funeral Home (458-1885) have been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
