"Heaven is now a little sweeter." On Friday, August 10, 2018 Phyllis Ethel Robertson, wife of the late Rev. Chester A. Robertson, completed her earthly journey with dignity and grace at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and in the presence of her two loving and devoted daughters, Marilyn and Cheryl.

Born September 5, 1928 at Maplehurst, NB, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Addie (Grant) Williams. Phyllis was a faithful member of Capital Community Church in Fredericton.

Phyllis loved her family deeply and her whole life was centered around them. Her presence will be greatly missed by daughters Marilyn MacDonald and Cheryl Craig (Theo). Even when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were not in her arms, or in her home, they were always in her heart. She was a treasured grandmother to Trent MacDonald (Nathalie), Ashley Doucette (Nick), Corey Craig (Charlotte) and Christian Craig (Celine Doiron). She was a loving and doting great-grandmother to Tristan, Zxavier, Océanne, Kalianne, Gabrielle and Bowden. She was a much-loved sister to Doris Cannam, Eva DeMerchant, Christina Stairs, Joyce Kinney and Ted Williams. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Addie (Grant) Williams; her husband, Rev. Chester A. Robertson (1985); her only son, Donald W. Robertson (1981); sisters, Vivian, Mavis and Marjorie as well as brothers, Sylvester, Basil, Ansel and Floyd.

The family will receive condolences at Capital Community Church, 71 Downing St., Fredericton on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from the same location on Tuesday, August 14 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jack Leaman officiating. Interment in the River Bank Cemetery, Norton, NB.

For those who choose to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested the Alzheimer’s Society, Capital Community Church or a favorite charity of your choice.
