A graveside committal service for the late Murray John Wheaton, who passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Oromocto Public Hospital, will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Fredericton.

Murray leaves behind a daughter, Shelley Wheaton (Stephen Mowry); a son Jason Wheaton (Amanda Paul); 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Cayden and Chloe. He is also survived by his only surviving sibling, Doreen Williams (Allan); nieces and nephews.

Born in Fredericton on April 8, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Mae (Blair) Wheaton. Murray was predeceased by his wife Jenny Madeline (Clark) Wheaton.

Murray was a much loved and respected custodian at the former Victoria Public Hospital and later at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was an avid bowler and was a member of a number of Bowling Leagues over the years. A lover of music, playing the guitar was one of his greatest enjoyments.
