At the Veteran’s Health Unit in Fredericton on Sunday July 22, 2018, Walter James Boudreau of Fredericton passed away at the age of 92. Born in Montreal, QC, he was a son of the late William and Muriel (Hughes) Boudreau and husband of the late Eileen (Scullion) Boudreau.

Walter, at a very young age, joined the Merchant Marines and served with them during the entirety of the Second World War. His family and friends enjoyed his tales of adventures at sea. He later was employed with various telecommunications companies. Walter was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch #4 Fredericton and a member of Stepping Stones. In his later years he spent a great deal of time volunteering for various causes.

He is survived by two daughters Karen Heissner of Fredericton and Elaine Heissner (Chris) of Fredericton; four grandchildren Neal and Adam of Calgary, AB, Colin (Ashley) of Cold Lake, AB and Heather of Fredericton; two great grandchildren Jemma and Vayda; a sister Lois Jean of Vancouver Island, BC; nieces Lynne and Jo-Anne; sister-in-law Bobbe Boudreau.

No visitation or service by request of the family. A private interment will be held at a later date.
