David Joseph "Hopsing" Paul of Kingsclear First Nation, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Fredericton on Saturday July 21, 2018 at the age of 68. Born January 26, 1950 in Fredericton, NB to the late John and Minnie (Sabattis) Paul. He loved hunting, fishing, working on his lot, woodworking and his animals. David was a District Warrior Chief.
He is survived by his children Irene Rodriquez (Anastacio), Wanita Paul, David Paul (Amy); six grandchildren Jordan, Breanne, Keigan, Tyler, Justin and Jonathan; siblings Patsi Paul of St. Mary’s, Mary Paul of Oromocto; Goddaughter's Jacqueline Sabattis and Lisa Sacobie; Godson Clifton Sacobie; niece Rachel Paul (Rose) and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Resting at 603 Apartment Lane, Kingsclear First Nation with visitation beginning Tuesday evening July 24, 2018 and Wednesday. A mass to celebrate his life will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church Kingsclear 1st Nation on Thursday July 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Arockia Dass Chinnappan officiating. A private family interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery Kingsclear 1st Nation will take place following cremation with Wayne Brooks presiding. Pallbearers for the service will be James Paul, Terry Lovely, Allayah Paul, Tanner Morgan, Dylan Sacobie, Clifton Sacobie.
